My friend rents cars - EVs- and I'm reminded of a story he told where someone was confused on how to drive the car. She called him asking how it worked and he had to say it had an accelerator like a "regular" car. The expectation that technology does all this has really made some of us so reliant that we can't notice common things anymore. Like you said, maybe just go to bed

Tbh, although the technology is close to there. I think they’d prefer that we wear dog collars and ID tags.
