First Lady Elonia: America’s Most Colourful Consort on a Quest to “Save” Democracy
In Trump’s World, Musk is on the path to becoming the First Lady—by default, ego, or eccentricity.
Article note and update:
I wrote this article four days ago with a plan to make it live at the end of the week. The plan was to a accompany it with an article called “Project 2025: A Return to ‘America First’ or a Prelude to America Last?” which was to follow a few days afterwards. I really wasn’t expecting today’s news (14th November 24), today. So subscribe now if you haven’t already to be notified when I drop this later in the week, as it expands on a few things I allude to in this article.
I haven’t made any edits or adjustments to it since I wrote it, so with that in mind - let’s go! 😬
Well, folks, it’s time to brace ourselves for America’s incoming “First Lady.”
Elonia—billionaire, space cowgirl, and human meme generator. Now that Trump seems primed for his White House comeback, it appears that he’s ready to formalise his unlikely bromance with Musk, setting the stage for a reimagined government where Tesla rules, tax brackets are slashed, and the free market soars—or crashes, depending on which Musk tweet you’re reading.
Musk has publicly praised Trump’s Project 2025, a grand (if somewhat ambiguous) blueprint to, among other things, slash taxes, decimate safety net programmes, and sprinkle a little chaos over social services. And who better to lead this charge than Musk, who recently tweeted eagerness to join a “Government Efficiency Commission”? Something like “Secretary of Cost-Cutting,” with a self-imposed vow of “no pay, no title”—as if the billionaire needs a salary.
Behind the scenes, however, Elonia has hinted that Trump’s economic plans could lead to “temporary hardship”—an understatement that reads like a weather forecast describing a hurricane as a “breezy evening.” But let’s face it, Musk’s influence here is less about economic foresight and more about wielding power. His public support of Trump has been unwavering, helping to transform Twitter (sorry, “X”) into a pro-Trump echo chamber where conspiracy theories can circulate and spin out as freely as Tesla stock prices.
In Elonia’s world, it’s all about disruption—politics, social media, and evidently, governance. From reshaping the immigration system to gutting Medicaid, Trump’s Project 2025 has Musk’s stamp all over it, pushing for “efficiency” at the cost of, well, actual people. And Musk’s critics worry that his erratic behaviour—one moment championing free speech, the next banning critics on X—will shape policies in ways more self-serving than visionary.
As for Trump? He likely sees Musk as an “industry leader” for the MAGA era, a shiny billionaire who can give his administration the tech-tycoon clout it craves. Together, they’re plotting a kind of populist utopia where Musk’s whims might well dictate policy, ensuring that both their legacies leave a mark, worryingly on the planet and not just in more batshit tweets.
Here are five of Elonia’s Musk’s most bizarre and controversial moments and tweets, that show his penchant for grabbing headlines and riling up the internet:
Challenging Vladimir Putin to “single combat” – Musk stunned Twitter by publicly challenging Russian President Vladimir Putin to a one-on-one fight, with Ukraine as the stakes. It was seen as an odd blend of geopolitical trolling and bravado, with Musk changing his Twitter name to “Elona” after a Chechen leader mocked his “manliness”
.
Spreading conspiracy theories about mass shootings – Following a tragic Texas mall shooting, Musk hinted at a “false flag” operation, amplifying fringe claims that it was a government setup. His remarks disturbed many, as he lent legitimacy to extreme conspiracy theories rather than addressing the tragedy with empathy.
Blaming COVID-19 vaccines for Bronny James’s cardiac arrest – In July 2023, Musk suggested LeBron James’s son’s health issue might be linked to the COVID-19 vaccine, despite there being no verified connection. His tweet prompted a warning from X’s Community Notes, which corrected Musk’s claims before the note mysteriously disappeared.
The “pedo guy” incident – In 2018, Musk infamously called a British cave diver who helped rescue children in Thailand a “pedo guy” in a tweet. The diver had criticised Musk’s proposed rescue device, which he saw as a PR stunt. Musk’s insult led to a defamation trial, though he ultimately won the case after arguing it was a “common insult” in South Africa.
The never-ending Cybertruck hype – Musk claimed his Cybertruck was “bulletproof,” only to shatter the truck’s window in a demonstration gone wrong. Doh!
Later, he tweeted about shooting it with a machine gun, leaning into the joke. The truck’s delayed production, issues with rust just days after hitting the great outdoors and over-the-top marketing has made them another symbol of Musk’s penchant for bold but often hollow promises.
Though they represent the deep, deep state: billionaires Musk and Trump very cleverly road astride the justifiable opposition to the 'covid' measures and mandates. De Santis, though Florida is drowning, also gained kudos from opposing a fake left wing conspiracy to control us using the climate crisis. Well played fossil fuel and animal ag industries.
What's wrong with suggesting a link between cardiac events and an experimental mRNA jab of unknown contents despite no 'verified' report?
